MOG SOLUTIONS LICENSES MXF DEVELOPMENT TOOLS TO OMNEON


Maia, Portugal – July, 22, 2009 – MOG Solutions today announced that Omneon has licensed the MOG MXF development toolkit in order to integrate MXF capabilities into Omneon’s high-performance transcoding system, ProXchange™. The integration of MOG Solutions’ development tools with ProXchange™ enables Omneon to have a comprehensive, industry-standard solution able to transcode multiple MXF flavours in an efficient and cost-effective way.

MOG tools’ support for multiple essence types and enhanced metadata capabilities allows Omneon to capitalize on state-of-the-art technology to enhance Omneon’s MXF support in ProXchange™. By integrating MOG Solutions’ MXF technology into the ProXchange™ system, Omneon will offer their clients access to a full range of functions from creation to the manipulation of MXF Files and associated metadata. The Omneon ProXchange™ version 1.4 already includes a number of new features that make use of MOG MXF tools.

Omneon ProXchange™ is a high-performance transcoding system specifically designed for high-volume multi-format media environments. As the first application to take advantage of the combined storage and processing architecture of Omneon MediaGrid™, ProXchange™ delivers grid-based transcoding of media files stored within Omneon MediaGrid.
